“Towards an empty sea” zine
“Towards an empty sea” is a macabre tale of dark origins, metamorphosis, and a eery nightmare escape down a dying river towards an empty sea and nothingness.
Water and flight weave throughout the 3 chapters of the zine, “seep”, “night-flight” and “an empty sea”. There is an undercurrent of environmental concern throughout.
Text is contributed by the writer Claire Louise Bennett from a short story titled “What wishing was over”.
“Towards an empty sea” zine was included in the Dublin Art Book Festival, 2025, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, Dublin, Ireland, and the Tsundoku Art Book Fair, 2026, at the International Centre for the Image, Dublin.
